If you want to support the team

We need people to come forward to help in a number of ways:

  •  Patients and their families who will give support by agreeing to meet with the riders as they pass through major towns, points of interest, and cities. Suitable places are likely to be:
  1. Lands End
  2. Penzance
  3. Plymouth
  4. Exeter
  5. Taunton
  6. Glastonbury
  7. Bristol
  8. Chepstow
  9. Monmouth
  10. Hereford
  11. Shrewsbury
  12. Runcorn
  13. Warrington
  14. Blackburn
  15. Lancaster
  16. Kendal
  17. Carlisle
  18. Moffat
  19. Glasgow
  20. Glencoe
  21. Fort William
  22. Inverness
  23. Lairg
  24. Thurso
  25. John O' Groats

You need to have a story to tell about Amyloidosis, and you should be prepared to share that story with others, through the press and local radio. In the towns we hope to stage small events providing the press with the opportunity to take photographs, and perhaps to interview riders, patients and families. Having people to help at these events - shaking collection boxes, handing out flyers and other things would be a real boost.

  • More Riders If you could ride the whole route that would be great. We realise that this is a challenge and demands lots of time (to train and for the ride itself). You could join for a day it would be great to have others who have been affected by Amyloidosis riding in support
There are still places available on the ride. We expect riders to meet their own costs so as to maximise the value of any sponsorship we receive.

  • Help with organising Press Releases, Publicity and Local Events. During the ride having someone updating websites, contacting press, and coordinating PR will be invaluable

If you can help please contact John Plant using the contact form at the top left of the page.
