Peak Tours

Thanks has to be given to Peak Tours who have been really helpful in providing support to the team, and have agreed to provide some assistance to people who will be joining along the way.

Peak Tours was established by Steve Coackley. Born & bred in the High Peak or Dark Peak area of the Peak District, Steve has walked & cycled extensively throughout the Peak District for many years. Prior to setting up Peak Tours Steve cycled around the world on an unsupported trip along with three others from Scotland, China & Australia. The journey took him through Europe, Russia, Kazakhstan, China, USA & Ireland covering 12,700 miles in eight months. All travel by land was by bike & the group carried everything they needed to be self sufficient. Apart from getting arrested in the Xinjang autonomous region of Western China on suspicion of being spies the tour was generally trouble free. 

On returning home Steve left his career in finance to work as a tour leader for the adventure travel company Explore Worldwide, leading walking & cycling tours in Turkey, China, India, Poland, Ukraine, Macedonia, Greece, Finland & Bulgaria.

These days Peak Tours spend most of their time organising and planning fully supported tours such as Lands End to John O Groats; Dover to Cape Wrath; Coast to Coast; Way of the Roses; Moselle to Mozart, which ends in Vienna; an imminent French end to end, plus all the self guided Peak District walking and cycling holidays.  We pride ourselves on our relaxed, fun tours and hope we get the opportunity to continue to help people complete our challenges for many years to come.

John rode LEJoG with Peak in 2012, and together with another 20 riders in that group, he has nothing but praise for the relaxed and caring way in which the tour was run.

An urgent request for assistance in obtaining press and media contacts was met without hesitation and in Copper's normal professional manner.

Copper is a specialist communications consultancy specialising in infra-structure and environmental issues. It has over 30 years experience and a large number of clients in the public and private sectors. In May 2014 Copper celebrated the anniversary of  the launch of its shiny new brand. Copper was formed by the merger of 3 G Communications and Sauce Consultancy in 2012.
